My Thoughts Before Watching

I’m sad it’s ending, but I’m interested in seeing where the show will end up. I really wanna know how will the series finish. Will it give our characters a happy ending or will it go for a different approach? Perhaps it’ll go the Uncontrolled Love 2 route.

In the end, I really just wanna see Page get a happy ending. If you haven’t read my thoughts on the first 4 episodes, all you need to know is that I think the show is great and that I wish Page was real. Right now, I’m just hoping she gets to smile at the end.

This is Her Story Episodes 5-6.

Episode 5

I love how this episode could start off so high in energy and joy and then by the end be pushed down into sorrow and decay. This episode alone deserves an Emmy in my mind. Besides Violet’s ex-turned-friend who I didn’t really care for, I thought everyone in this episode acted wonderfully.

The emotions in the fight between Vi and Mark was palpable. The way they were stuttering and speaking over each other was a nice touch. Then, when Vi talked about her past incident with the cops I was caught speechless. As I’m writing this reaction my heart feels like it’s in sludge. That’s the affect this episode had on me.

Good job over all. 5 out of 5. Great episode.

Episode 6

Can I just say once again that I love Page with all my might. As soon as she started cursing I was like, “Hey! Alright, we have arrive.” I’m lowkey/highkey mad that she didn’t start swinging. I guess she’s too classy for that. Plus, she won that fight real quick with just her words. I’m still high off of her fight at the start of the episode.

Honestly, I’m just happy the series ended in a happy ending for everyone. Stories like these don’t always have to end sadly, and I’m glad this one didn’t. Everything felt deserved. These women deserve happiness and have fought hard enough to get it. Vi leaving her abusive relationship was commendable, while James and Page sticking together was endearing.

In Conclusion

I’m very happy with where this show ended and I’m happy having watched it. Now I only have to pray that either it gets a season two or the creators feel compelled to make something else. If you have the time to watch 6 Youtube videos that only go about 8-11 mins each, PLEASE watch this show. It is worth every second.

My rating for Her Story Episodes 5-6 is 5 stars out of 5 and a QF star. What’s Yours?
